If you want to attend one of our eAcademy courses, we assume that you accept these conditions of participation.

Read the following information attentively. By registering for one of our courses, you confirm your acceptance of these terms of service as contractual basis for the use of the eAcademy services.

TERMS OF SERVICE

Fees

The fees for the course services can be found in the respective course specifications.

Further costs incurred because of computer/internet usage, printouts or working material possibly required are not included in the fees.

Copyrights

The contents made available by us are protected by copyright and are only for personal, private usage. You must not publish, circulate, reproduce or share them with third-parties.

Also your login data must not be shared with third-parties, otherwise you are personally responsible for the unwanted usage as well as the costs and damage incurred.

If and as long as you contribute own materials, texts or pictures to the course platform of Ingrid Auer, you guarantee that you possess the copyright or the right of use of these materials, that they are free from contradictory rights of third-parties and that the use does not interfere with patents, licences, and trademark and copyright laws of third-parties. You commit yourself to keep us indemnified against all claims and charges and to defend the maintainer of the site against all claims that are made due to the infringement of such rights of third-parties. Moreover, you commit yourself to refund the maintainer’s defence expenditures and other damages incurred if the appropriate defensive measures and negotiations are or have to remain reserved for the maintainer.

Data protection

The personal data transported to us in the course of registration will not be communicated by us to third-parties (except when we are legally bound to do so or by court order).

Email marketing: we may send you emails about our site and related course(s), registration, course content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to the course, survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion. 

Our online services contain links to other websites. The data privacy statement does not extend to the websites of those providers. For your own good, act carefully and responsibly when using the Internet and make sure that you do not give unauthorised third-parties access to sensitive data.

Liability

The right to use this platform and its functions exists only within the framework of the current state of the art. Temporary restrictions or interruptions of access can arise from malfunction, (corrective) maintenance work, change and improvement of technical facilities, grid overload or other reasons for which we are not liable.

You acknowledge that the instructions given in the context of our courses are mere suggestions and recommendations that you follow of your own volition and only if you feel capable of following them. There is no obligation to follow those instructions, and everything happens at your own responsibility and risk; therefore, we are not liable for any consequences.

Since our courses are mainly concerned with the participants’ personal development, an average mental and physical resilience are required for participation. Thus, with your registration you confirm that you are mentally and physically capable of participating. If in doubt, you should consult your attending physician beforehand.

We are not liable for damages or disadvantages that arise from your participation in our courses or from the use of the materials provided by us. Liability extending beyond this is excluded.

Debarment from Ingrid Auer eAcademy International

In case of ongoing violation of these conditions of participation, we are entitled to debar you from further participation in the course in question and from all other courses to which you signed up, and as a last consequence to debar you from the opportunity to participate in any of our courses in the future.

In that case, the subscription for any ongoing course won’t be refunded.

Changes to conditions of participation, venue, applicable law and other regulations

If individual clauses of these terms of service are or become void, this does not affect the validity of the rest of the conditions of participation. The parties have to replace the void clause by a valid clause that is in accordance with the commercial sense and purpose of the conditions of participation.

The maintainer can change these terms of service at any time by communicating the changes that have been made to the registered participants via email (change notice). If the participant does not object to those changes in writing or via email within two weeks after the receipt of the change notice, the new terms of service are regarded as being accepted by him or her. The maintainer will again point out the consequences of a forborn objection within the stated period to the participant in the change notice. The participant is aware of the fact that the maintainer can properly terminate these conditions of participation, for instance, subsequent to his/her objection to the changed conditions of participation. For a course that has already commenced at the time of the change notice the earlier version of the terms of service is still valid.

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of 3717 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. Westlake Village California US 91362.
